I am privileged to serve as the librarian for a remarkable group of hardworking and dedicated students. We are a Title 1 school with a large percentage of English Language Learners. All of our students need access to high-quality literature to become lifelong readers.
FUNDED Projects 2024
Fifth Grade: "Let's Play Pickleball!"
Teacher Steve FULLY FUNDED!
I'm always struggling to get my students interested in playing sports during PE. By 5th grade many have decided that they are not "sporty" and are reluctant to participate. My hope is that pickleball will be a high interest activity with a low barrier to participate and be successful.
Kinder "Fine Motor Skills"
Teacher Mandy FULLY FUNDED!
In our Transitional Kindergarten classroom, we’re focusing on building crucial fine motor skills for our little learners. Fine motor skills involve the small movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists, and are vital for tasks like writing legibly, drawing shapes and letters, and performing activities that require precision and control. These skills not only help with hand-eye coordination and creativity but also play a significant role in cognitive development by strengthening neural connections in the brain.
